Fabulous Fungi Walk in celebration of UK fungus Day - Morning

• Meeting in Swithland Wood NORTH car park, LE12 8SS.
• Meeting time: 10am

Do you know your Puffballs from your Parasols? Join us for an informative and interactive morning, family friendly stroll through Swithland Wood, with expert Beverley Rhodes, to discover the world of fascinating fungi!  You’ll be guided through the Wood, searching for the different types that grow there. Learn about the biology of fungi and it’s place in the woodland community.  Bring your camera or phone to help record the species we find.

                       

• Please take account of the weather in the days before the walk.
• The ground is likely to be wet or frozen and there may be some muddy patches along the way, so please wear appropriate footwear.
• It will also be a good idea to bring warm/wind/water proof clothing.
• Sorry NO dogs.
• Please note parking charges apply & are not included in the ticket price - please note our machines take coins only, no change is given. 
• There are no toilets in our Swithland Wood car parks, the nearest toilets are at Hallgates car pakr, LE7 7HQ.
