Parking Charges

Parking charges apply at all car parks.

Newtown Linford car park [LE6 0HB]:

This car park is operating by ANPR. You will enter through the entry barrier which will read your vehicle registration and lift the barrier to allow you entry. You can then park up and go for your walk. Prior to leaving you will need to go to the pay stations located between the black wrought iron gates and the blue badge bays.  Insert your vehicle registration and then pay for the time you have parked, you can then exit through the exit barrier.  One pay station is card only the second pay station is cash and card and will take notes and give change.

  • For motorbikes, please enter/exit by the side of the barriers and make a parking donation in our donation box located near to the wooden pedestrian entry gate to the park.

Hallgates car park [LE7 7HQ]:

This car park is pay & display and has 2 machines, one which takes coins only [no change given], the 2nd machine is card or coin and is located next to the toilet block.  You can also pay to park in this car park via the Paybyphone app - See Paybyphone details below.

  • For motorbikes, please pay and carry the ticket with you if you cannot fix it on your vehicle.
  • A valid in date pay & display ticket purchased from our Hallgates car park machines is also valid for use at Hunts Hill and Swithland Wood north & south car parks

Hunts Hill car park [LE6 0AH]:

This car park is pay & display and has 3 machines that are coin only [no change given].  You can also pay to park in this car park via the Paybyphone app - See Paybyphone details below.

  • For motorbikes, please pay and carry the ticket with you if you cannot fix it on your vehicle.
  • A valid in date pay & display ticket purchased from our Hunts Hill car park machines is also valid for use at Swithland Wood north & south car parks

Swithland Wood north & south car parks:

Both car parks are pay & display and each has 1 machine that are coin only [no change given].  You can also pay to park in this car park via the Paybyphone app - See Paybyphone details below.

  • For motorbikes, please pay and carry the ticket with you if you cannot fix it on your vehicle.

Please note that Blue Badge holders are not exempt from parking charges and must pay to park. There are marked bays close to the Park entrance at Newtown Linford and Hallgates car parks. Regular visitors with a Blue Badge can benefit from concessionary rates on season ticket purchases.

How to correctly display your ticket:

Tickets in our pay & display car parks must be displayed correctly face up so that the registration numbers, date & time can be clearly seen through the window screen. We have invested in some sticky tickets to allow you to stick the ticket on your window screen. ****Please check your ticket before you leave your car to ensure it is displayed correctly.****

  • Please do not 'pass on' tickets, as a charity we have to raise over £1 million pounds a year to care for the Park and your car parking contribution assists us greatly in this target.

The Trust does work with an external company regarding enforcement and non-payment or incorrect display may result in a fine. Please ensure as you leave your car the ticket is displayed correctly (not having blown as you close your car doors) with the correct details entered and clearly showing. Our machines offer clear guidance on how to enter details.

Parking for Coaches is available at both our Newtown Linford and Hunts Hill car parks.  Coach parking needs to be booked via the Estate Office 0116 236 2713
NOTE: There is no coach parking at our Hallgates car park & Swithland Woods car parks due to access availability for the coach. .

SEASON TICKETS

Season tickets, including renewals can be purchased online https://www.bradgatepark.org/car-park-season-tickets

If you are a frequent visitor you may wish to consider a season ticket for car parking as this covers all five sites on the Bradgate Park Trust Estate and can significantly save you money.

A fixed penalty ticket policy is in force to ensure effective enforcement of parking charges at all car parks. Unauthorised parking, or display of an invalid/out of date ticket will incur penalties as advertised in all car parks through our enforcement contractor, Spring Parking Limited, who are a member of the British Parking Associations' Approved Operator Scheme.
