Young Rangers

The 'Young Rangers' is our conservation programme for those aged between 11 and 18 years old. It offers young people the opportunity to get involved with the management of the Park, undertaking tasks and activities organised by the Trust Rangers.

We offer a varied programme which includes; construction, forestry, traditional crafts, wildlife monitoring, site maintenance, delivering activities at events and more. The sessions teach a range of practical skills whilst encouraging teamwork and responsibility. We feel that the Young Rangers get a real sense of achievement from what they do.

Regular sessions are run every three weeks on Saturdays between 10am and 3pm, other occasions will be available for example when we hold events.

Sessions cost £3 (which covers materials). Young Rangers will need a packed lunch including a drink. Suitable clothing and footwear is essential as we work outdoors in all weathers!!
