Garden Obelisk Willow Weaving Workshop

Join us for a creative full-day willow weaving experience

This workshop is suitable for beginners and runs as a small group, ensuring plenty of hands-on support and guidance throughout the day. All materials and tools are provided, along with expert step-by-step instruction.

Join Dave for a relaxed and hands on day learning how to create 2 beautiful willow garden obelisks. In this 6 hour workshop you will make your own willow obelisks, perfect for supporting climbing plants in the garden or a twist on the traditional Christmas tree!

What you’ll make:
Create your own large willow obelisks sculptures

Location: Meeting Room, Deer Barn Building, Bradgate Park

When: Sunday 2nd August 2026

Time: Arrival from 9:45am. Workshop runs 10:00am – 4:00pm

Refreshments: Water, Tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day. Please bring your own packed lunch or you can use the Deer Barn Cafe onsite. We will supply a slice of cake for you!

Ticket Price: £100 per person

What to bring/wear:
Comfortable clothing suitable for crafting. Optional: apron or old clothes (willow work can be messy)
Layers (the venue can vary in temperature)

Suitability:

This workshop is suitable for adults and children aged 16+ years (anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult).Dogs are not permitted on this walk

Accessibility:

The workshop is held in our Deer Barn Meeting Room and is suitable for wheelchair access and mobility access needs. The space can be tight depending on guests number. When booking please make us aware of any needs you may have or you can contact the Estate Office on 0116 236 2713 if you have any accessibility-related queries.

Please park at Hallgates (Cropston Reservoir) car park - LE7 7HQ. It is approx. a 15 min walk to the Deer Barn building from here.
