Are you a people person who would enjoy engaging with Bradgate Park visitors? If you are, we may have just the role for you, assisting our Visitor Experience Team in ensuring that all visitors enjoy a great visit.

Opportunities are based at the Visitor Centre, which is at the heart of the Park and open seven days a week.  The role has a full training and induction. As a Visitor Experience Volunteer you will:

  • Meet and greet visitors to the Park and help with orientation

  • Assist and orientate Park visitors with accessibility requirements

  • Promote and represent the Trust at local events

  • Carry out face-to-face visitor surveys

  • Help book visitors onto events and deal with enquiries by phone as well as face-to-face

  • Share information about the Visitor Centre, displays and heritage stories they tell.

Some of our Visitor Experience Volunteers have also got involved outside the Centre as Tour Guides for our daily taster tours of the historic Ruins of Bradgate House (that run throughout the summer) and openings of Old John Tower (the #IconofLeicestershire and landmark folly). Again all training is provided and these opportunities all add to a great day out for our visitors.

We also have an Introduction to the Geology of the Upper Park starting at Hunts Hill. All of these Walks have been prepared by Volunteers working with local experts.
