Vehicle Access Scheme and Coach Parties Vehicles are not normally permitted to drive into Bradgate Park. However, the Bradgate Park Trust operates and concessionary scheme for those people who are Blue Badge holders who are unable to visit Bradgate Park on foot. The Bradgate Park Trust allows Blue Badge holders to drive or be driven along the main carriageway through Bradgate Park, during the main visitor season. The Drive Through Scheme: IS NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. Seasonal Variations During school summer holidays (mid July through to the end of August, please check if you are unsure in advance) NO THURSDAY DRIVE-THROUGH. The Saturday drive-through operates as normal. The Trust will also make decisions around half terms and other school holidays based on operational decisions influenced by weather and numbers of visitors. We always advise checking. Advance Booking Required For Blue Badge Holders only (and the Holder must be in attendance) Visitors will need to pre-book a time slot in advance (90 minutes time slots) All bookings taken by the Estate Office If you arrive on the day without booking, admission will be at the Park Wardens discretion if capacity allows Mini buses must book in advance and will be charged - Call prior to visit to make payment. Only Cars are admitted under this scheme and vehicles must display a valid Blue Badge with the Blue Badge holder present in the vehicle. All cars will need to pay the required parking rate in order to use the Drive Through to help cover the costs of running the Scheme and having a dedicated team member on duty at the Newtown Linford entrance. Park Wardens will advise you on arrival. Vehicles must enter and leave the Park by the Newtown Linford entrance and drive along the main carriageway. There is no parking or access to the Ruins. Parking is available at the Deer Barn Tearoom/Visitor Centre/Toilets in the centre of Park (10 cars). Parking is not permitted on or alongside the carriageway in the Park, except when visiting Memorial Wood (2 cars). When driving through groups of pedestrians, cars must be driven at walking pace. When the road is clear an absolute maximum speed limit of 10 m.p.h. must be observed. Pedestrians must be given precedence at all times. A special exception can usually be made available, to enable a coach carrying a group of disabled or elderly people, to drive along the carriageway through the centre of Bradgate Park. Note: Only Mini-Coaches, Ambulances for the Disabled or Coaches (up to 52 seater) are permitted. Continental-type or double-decker Coaches are not permitted, (due to height restrictions under the trees along the carriageway and width of gateways). As the facilities are open from 7.45am through to dusk and volunteering opportunities are seven days a week, vehicles can be moving throughout the day. The Trust do try to limit vehicle movements.
