Join a Ranger and Volunteers to take a glimpse in to the wonderful world of bats!  This informative talk and walk will introduce you to the biology and lifecycles of bats, their feeding habits and explain why they are so important.  As dusk falls, we’ll head out into the Park, armed with bat detectors, to see if we can spot any in flight and listen to their echolocation!

An element of this event will involve walking around the Park at night. Please wear suitable, warm clothing and sturdy footwear for walking over uneven ground.  Bring a torch if you wish. No dogs allowed.

Please be aware, we have volunteer photographers who record events on behalf of the Park, the images may be used for Park Archives and for future marketing purposes for example via our website and social media.

Please park at Hallgates Car Park on the left hand side as you enter the car park (LE7 7HQ) and meet outside of the Visitor Centre for 7.30pm prompt start. Allow 15/20 minutes to walk from the car park to the Visitor Centre.
