Bradgate House Ruins is famous for the often elusive peacocks. Most often they are seen sitting on the walls of the Ruins of Bradgate House, or a glimpse is caught during tours of the Ruins.

The Trust in recent years has been feeding corn to the muster (the collective name for a group of peacocks), via a feed hopper.

Our Wardens help care for them and most recently  they have been enjoying the new wildlife pond in the Walled Garden.

They now breed and we have around 22 in total.

Food for each bird is around £10.00 a year. The idea for this appeal has come from our volunteers who have seen our work to raise funds for winter feed for the deer. They suggested this appeal as a way to raise the profile of these elusive, but popular birds on the Park and the fact the team care for them all year
