Join us at Bradgate Park for our Star Gazing event with the Leicester Astronomical Society.

Places when released will be available to be reserved through our Visitor Centre only. Please check again soon to avoid disappointment as we will update this event with the news of their release in August.

The event will start promptly at 7.30pm and it is advised people arrive a little before (from 7pm) to be met to walk down. It is suitable for 11 years upwards. Customer parking at Newtown Linford car park £4 pay and display, plus places are £5 per person.

Guests will be greeted by the entrance gates into the Park and the event's team will lead groups through Little Matlock towards the Telescope area which will be on the flat meadow before the Ruins. Sensible footwear is required and the event will be standing throughout.

This will be a chance to look at constellations and discover more about the night sky with some of the county's most knowledgeable enthusiasts (clear skies permitting). The Society will bring some telescopes for people to view down (you can bring your own, but be prepared for the walk from the car park)

No dogs and please bring a red torch if you have one.

Due to the nature of the weather all people that reserve a place (which will be allocated on first come first served) will need to check the Trust Facebook Page for cancellation notices which will be no later than 6.15pm on the day. Please bring cash only on the night to pay for places.
Car Park entrance gate into the car park will be locked off once guests have arrived. Exit will be via a one-way route.

Suitable for older children (11 plus).

To reserve places call or visit our Visitor Centre (Telephone 0116 2362713 extension 25) between 11 and 3.45.
