2020 Daily Tour

Join one of our knowledgeable volunteers for a free walk, these take place every weekday at 11:30 and 2pm. These will start from the Visitor Centre.

Please 'book in' at the Visitor Centre to reserve your space.

The walk will cover the fascinating history of the Ruins and some of the people who either lived here or were connected with the Ruins and the Park. It will also cover some of the archaeological digs that have taken place over the last few years. You may be very surprised with what you will learn!

The tour will last around 1 hour 15 minutes, it does involve around a one mile walk at a leisurely pace.

This walk will involve walking over uneven and potentially weather affected ground, it will take place irrespective of weather conditions. Appropriate clothing and footwear are therefore recommended.

Dogs are welcome, however they should be held on a lead.

Whilst entry to the Park and the tour is free, car park charges of £3 on a pay and display basis apply.

The Park is run as a Charitable Trust, should you wish to make a donation to help with the maintenance of the Park for current and future generations, this may be done at the Visitor Centre.

Please be aware, we have volunteer photographers who record events on behalf of the Park, the images may be used for Park Archives and for future marketing purposes for example via our website and social media.
