As part of our new programme of holiday activities, local artist, Leigh Ann McDonagh will be leading a session on creative writing on Tuesday 7 August.  Leigh Ann has completed an art project with some of the ancient trees on the Park and has created "The Grove of the Keepers of Dreams".  Come along to meet the trees that inspired her and create your own stories, or simply have fun colouring in Leigh-Ann’s drawings.

Tickets are £3.50 per child (aged 5+) and accompanying adult (an adult must be present) and places must be booked in advance at the Visitor Centre by calling 0116 236 2723 ext. 25 (although payment can be made on the day).  Please note that car parking charges apply (£3 all day) and the nearest car park is at Hallgates (LE7 7HQ).

Meet at the Visitor Centre at 10:30 for a walk up to the trees, which will hopefully inspire you too and and, weather permitting, the creative writing will take place amidst the trees.

The walk heads over uneven ground, so please wear appropriate footwear.  It will also be a good idea to bring water if hot and a coat if wet or windy.
