wood at Hunts Hill (Old John) Car Park.
Postcode LE6 0AH.
Duration – approx. 2-2.5 hours.

Bradgate Park is steeped in history – from its Norman beginnings as a hunting park to the building of Bradgate House, home of Lady Jane Grey in the early 1500s and beyond.

This walk will explore some of the history of the Upper Park including Old John, the racecourse and the War Memorial.  It will also explore one of the Park's Spinneys, not usually open to members of the public.

This walk is over grass and in places, over steep, rocky slopes making it unsuitable for people in wheelchairs. A very popular walk, limited to a maximum of 25 people.

Tickets can be purchased here for £5.00 per place or at the Visitor Centre at the Deer Barn or by calling 0116 2362713 extension 25 between 11.00 and 15.30 daily.
