Bess of Hardwick married Sir William Cavendish in the Bradgate Chapel. Sir William was the royal treasurer to the King. Myth has it that the Wedding took place at 2am.  This may be due to the stars being correctly aligned or alternatively just that the groom was running late!
To mark this grand occasion, Bess will be honouring Bradgate Chapel with a visit once more, from her ancestral home at Hardwick Hall.

Bess will interact with visitors and enthral you with her anectdotes and court gossip!
