Access for Visitors with Disabilities

The Bradgate Park Trust is committed to making Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood as accessible as possible for our visitors with disabilities.

A copy of our Access Statement can be downloaded here The tarmac carriageway that runs through the Park is very suitable for wheelchairs and both the Deer Barn and Conservatory Tearooms offer step-free access. There are wheelchair-accessible toilet facilities at Hallgates car park and at the Deer Barn buildings and there is a Changing Places facility at the Newtown Linford car park. This latter facility is on a RADAR lock and a spare key can be borrowed from the Conservatory Tearoom. On Thursday afternoons and Saturday, the Drive-Through scheme offers Blue Badge holders the opportunity to drive through the Park. Details here.

Accessibility in Bradgate Park

It is the aim of the Bradgate Park Trust that all members of the community should be able to enjoy the Park. Whilst recognising that the physical nature of the Park means that not all areas will be accessible to everyone, the Trust aims to extend access so far is reasonable possible.
