Volunteers at Bradgate Park

Volunteering with the Bradgate Park Trust is your chance to make a real contribution to Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood’s wildlife, landscape conservation and rich heritage, as well as championing our visitor experience.

We have loads of opportunities and provide any training required, so take a look and see if something interests you.  Click on the Role title for more information.

Conservation Volunteer

The Conservation Volunteers help on the Estate and get a hands-on experience of the tasks involved in managing the Park and  Swithland Wood.

Visitor Experience Volunteer

The Visitor Experience Volunteers are based at the Visitor Centre in the middle of the Park. Their role is to help guide visitors around our exciting Visitor Centre which is open 7 days a week.

Guided Tour Volunteer

Our Tour Guides are fully trained to effectively communicate the facts and history of the Ruins of Bradgate House and of Old John Tower.

Community Champion

Providing talks to community groups about Bradgate Park, Swithland Wood and the Trust’s work is an area where volunteers can engage with people about the Park.

Education Session Volunteers

With the development of our “Discover” Bradgate Education Programme there will be chance to support delivery of our education sessions to school groups across a range of subjects.

Guided Walk Volunteers

Our introductory guided walks, take small groups of the public on short guided walks through the Park or Swithland Wood.

Event Marshal Volunteers

The Trust has a busy event schedule that volunteers can be involved in. From the setting up of the event site, to guiding in parking cars and then clearing up, volunteers help out and get involved.

We aim to Inform, Inspire and Encourage our visitors to go out and Explore.

We are passionate about what we do and how we do it and are looking for like-minded people to come and join the Bradgate Park team, could this be you?
