The Bradgate Park Trust is always grateful to visitors and intending benefactors who express a desire to make a financial contribution to the Bradgate Country Park. Such acts of generosity may arise from a wish to commemorate a particular occasion (a birth; marriage; anniversary or a loved one) or a desire to materially assist with the costs of maintaining and improving the Country Park. The Trust accordingly offers a Commemorative Donation Scheme to accommodate such acts of kindness.
All donations made under the Commemorative Scheme are put towards future tree planting and provision of seats on the Country Park and will accordingly be helping to preserve its natural beauty/landscape and enhance its amenities. Trees that are traditionally planted are hardwoods, being Oak and Spanish Chestnut – species which have a long association with the Park and which provide autumn food for the grazing herds of deer. All donations are most gratefully received and put to a real important use.
It is regretted that money donated cannot be used for the provision of an individual personalised tree or seat.
Persons supporting the Scheme with a Donation of £50 or more will receive a unique Commemorative Certificate.
Those making a donation of £150 or more may, in addition to receiving the Commemorative Certificate, have an appropriate dedication inscribed in the Commemorative Book on display in the Visitor Centre.
Each day of the year has a separate page in the Book and the commemorative entry will appear on the chosen page. On each day that the Visitor Centre is open, the Commemorative Book will be open at the page corresponding to that particular day.
For further details of this special Commemorative Donation Scheme please telephone the Estate Office – Leicester (0116) 234 1850 and speak to Lynda Taylor who will be pleased to help you.
