Bradgate Country Park (which incorporates Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood) is managed by the Bradgate Park Trust as an independent Registered Charity (Charity Commission reference 521476) as the Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood Charity. The Trust’s Committee of Management, which comprises nine Trustees, aims to conserve, manage, maintain and improve the Bradgate Park & Swithland Wood Country Park Estate, in accordance with the Objectives of the Charity, as a rural area of scenic, natural and historic importance and Leicestershire’s premier Country Park, for the enjoyment, education and appreciation of visitors.
Bradgate Park and Swithland Wood are designated as a Country Park (under the Countryside Act 1968) providing “a welcoming rural recreational facility giving access, pleasure and enjoyment to visitors to a wide range of open and largely unrestricted beautiful and relatively wild countryside and woodland and being an area where visitors can feel relatively safe and secure”.
The Bradgate Park Trust hopes visitors enjoy their visit to the Country Park. They should note that the Trust does not accept any liability, under any circumstances, for any loss, damage or injury, including incidents arising from natural, traditional or manmade features, which occur during the use of the Country Park, its Facilities and/or Car Parks.

ORGANISED ACTIVITY/SPONSORED WALKS
Organisations/individuals who wish to use the Country Park for any Organised Activity, Sponsored Walk or other pre-arranged activity must make early contact with the Estate Secretary. A preliminary discussion will ascertain if the proposed activity will be authorised by the Trust and the conditions that will be applicable to such event. Should consent be granted then such Special Users will be expected to make a donation to Trust funds in recognition of the facilities used and the fact that the Trust is itself a Registered Charity.
COMMERCIAL USE OF THE COUNTRY PARK
No commercial/quasi commercial use of or activity whatsoever,connected with or on the Country Park Estate or any feature or facility thereon, may be undertaken without the prior consent of the Trust's Land Agent & Surveyor.
Written application for permission to carry out any such use or activity has to be made to the Estate Office. Any Application that is authorised will be subject to conditions and payment of a commercially based fee.
